Arrival at the airport.
Transfer to and briefing at Soaland Appart’s Sambava City tour in the afternoon, with a visit of the beach of Ampandrozonana.

Departure from Sambava at 6:00 am, arrival at the reception office in Manantenina at around 7:00 am
A quick drive will take you to the village of Mandena. At 7.30, you will then start the walk towards Mantella Camp. You will reach the camp I at around 11:00 am or 12:00 pm and enjoy a short visit to the Humbert waterfall after lunch. Walk for an hour to discover and appreciate the beauty of Marojejya Camp II. After a short break, continue the climb to Camp II. On the way, discover the famous "Simpona" or the silky sifaka, which can be observed only in this region.
Dinner and overnight stay at Marojejya Camp II
After an early breakfast (around 5:30 am or 6:00 am), walk for about 3 hours to reach the top of the park, which is located at an altitude of 2,132m. Depending on the weather, you can enjoy a 360° view of the region. Descent to camp 3 for lunch and return to camp 2 for a 2nd Simpona meeting.
Dinner and overnight stay at Marojejya Camp II
After a leisurely breakfast at around 7 am, free morning at Marojejya Camp. Then, lunch at 11 am, and descent around 12:00 pm. Walking time to the village of Mandena is between 3 and 4 hours. There, a car will be waiting for you to take you to Andapa (01-hour drive).
Dinner and overnight stay at Soaland Chalet Andapa
After breakfast, at around 8:00 am, departure to Andapa, a small town nestled in a fertile basin where there are thousands of hectares of rice fields.
You will have the opportunity to discover the Beanatsomanga fish farm, where our guide will explain the people’s activity, their philosophy and the challenges of fish farming.
For lunch, a local menu will be prepared in the typical Beanatsomanga culinary style. At the beginning of the afternoon, return to Sambava (3 hours’ drive).
Dinner and overnight stay at Soaland Appart’s Sambava
After an early breakfast, around 6:00 am, departure to Vohémar (3h30 drive). Visit the Plaideau Village which runs along the north of the town of Vohémar. Founded at the beginning of the 21st century, this village is known by its Malagasy name “Andripatra”, and it was created for the purpose of growing food crops and breeding livestock. You will discover a breathtaking landscape, very varied and unique in the SAVA Region: green dunes, mangroves, canyons and even red Tsingy.
Picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, drive to discover the green lake or “sacred lake of Andranotsara” which is located 7 km south of the town of Vohémar. Beyond the beauty of the place, the history of the lake is legendary. Your guide will explain the secret of its color to you.
Dinner and overnight stay at Square de Vohemar
After breakfast, drive to the village of Daraina, located 50 km north of Vohémar, on the road to Diégo- Suarez. Daraina is an old village of gold prospectors. It is possible to meet traditional gold miners during a walk in the surrounding forests. Meet the Tattersalli sifaka, the famous golden-crowned lemur, in the Loky Manambato protected area.
Lunch in Vohémar, then you will head to Antalaha.
Dinner and overnight stay at Soaland Orchids Antalaha
After breakfast, head for a city tour of Antalaha. Formerly a small fishing village, the town is today known as the vanilla capital of the world. However, vanilla is not the only know-how of the region. Indeed, Antalaha is also famous for the manufacture of wooden dhows. You will then drive towards the Domaine d’Ambohimanitra (35 min drive) and visit the Ambohimanitra Estate (60ha): discover the vanilla plantation and the different varieties of vanilla plants, as well as the nurseries of local varieties. The tour is guided and covers in detail the planting and the mutilation process of the vanilla flower as well as all the phases from the flower to the vanilla pod.
To complete your immersion in vanilla, a vanilla- scented meal will be served to you on a terrace that will offer a panoramic view. In the afternoon, relax on our private beach.
Dinner and overnight stay at Domaine d’Ambohimanitra
After breakfast, at around 9:00 am, return to Sambava. You will stop at the “Edmond Albius Museum,” to immerse yourself in the fascinating history of vanilla, from its ancient roots to its global expansion, plunging your senses into a unique tactile and olfactory journey. Let yourself be drawn into the terroirs that give that Malagasy vanilla its international reputation.
Lunch at Soaland Appart’s.
At the beginning of the afternoon, enjoy a fascinating visit to the vanilla store: discover the stages of vanilla, from preparation to export. You will be given the opportunity to know the secrets of all the stages of vanilla processing: harvesting, scalding, sorting, measuring, and you will learn about the different qualities of vanilla.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Antananarivo.
