Day 1 : Antananarivo - Vanilleraie - Ambohimanitra

  • Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Soaland Appart’s, where you will receive a short briefing on your upcoming journey.
  • Lunch will be served at Soaland Appart’s.
  • In the afternoon, begin your immersion into Madagascar’s vanilla heritage with a visit to the Edmond Albius Museum. Discover the rich history of vanilla, from its ancient origins to its global journey, through a multi-sensory experience that engages sight, touch, and smell.
  • After the visit, continue by road (approximately 45 minutes) to Domaine d’Ambohimanitra.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the Domaine d’Ambohimanitra.

Day 2 : Ambohimanitra - Antalaha

  • After breakfast around 9:00 a.m., embark on a guided visit of the Ambohimanitra Estate (60 hectares). Explore its lush vanilla plantations, discover various vanilla species, and visit nurseries cultivating local varieties. The tour offers in-depth insight into the vanilla plant’s lifecycle, including the intricate hand-pollination process and the transformation from flower to pod.
  • To complete the experience, enjoy a vanillascented lunch served on the terrace with a breathtaking panoramic view. In the early afternoon, transfer to Antalaha (approximately 35 minutes) for a captivating visit to a vanilla preparation facility.
  • Discover each key stage in the journey from field to export: harvesting, scalding, sun-drying, sorting, measuring, and grading. Learn how Madagascar’s vanilla earns its place on the world stage.
  • Return to the Domaine by 5:00 p.m.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Domaine d’Ambohimanitra.

Day 3 : Ambohimanitra - Sambava - Antananarivo

  • Departure Day – Return to Sambava and Onward Travel
  • After breakfast, transfer back to Sambava (approximately 45 minutes by car).
  • Enjoy lunch at Soaland Appart’s, then, depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport for your flight to Antananarivo.
