After breakfast, at around 8.00am, departure for Nosiarina, (15 km from Sambava). Then, experience a descent of the Bemarivo river by canoe: this escapade allows you to have a glimpse of the spectacular landscapes while letting yourself be lulled by the rhythm of the water. You will discover the daily life of the local communities and stroll through traditional vanilla and coffee plantations. After a picnic at the bend of an arm of the sea, you will walk alongside a coconut grove to end up in the heart of Sambava.

Picnic lunch in Bemarivo Around 3:00 pm, return to Sambava and continue to Antalaha.

Dinner and Overnight stay at Soaland Orchid’s

After breakfast, at around 08.00am, departure for the visit of Macolline (10 km from Antalaha) Macolline is an arboretum of over 10 hectares that shelters native species. Its ambition is to be a Masoala Hely. Through the excursion route, you will discover a varied and endemic fauna and flora, and you will be led along the water for a stroll on the Ankavanana.

Picnic lunch at the belvedere with a breathtaking view, or at Bellerose, depending on the weather. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting visit to the vanilla store in Antalaha: discover the stages of vanilla from preparation to export. You will be given the opportunity to know the secrets of all the stages of vanilla processing: harvesting, scalding, sorting, measuring, and you will learn about the different qualities of vanilla.

Around 5:00 p.m. return to Domaine d’Ambohimanitra

Dinner and Overnight stay at the Domaine d’Ambohimanitra

After breakfast at around 9:00 am, you will visit the Ambohimanitra Estate (60ha): discover the vanilla plantation and the different varieties of vanilla plants, as well as the nurseries of local varieties. The tour is guided and covers in detail the planting and the mutilation process of the vanilla flower as well as all the phases from the flower to the vanilla pod.

To complete your immersion in vanilla, a vanilla-scented meal will be served to you on a terrace that will offer a panoramic view. In the afternoon, relax on our private beach.

After breakfast, around 9:00 am, return to Sambava.

Stop at the “Edmond Albius Museum,” for you to immerse yourself in the fascinating history of vanilla, from its ancient roots to its global expansion, plunging your senses into a unique tactile and olfactory journey. Let yourself be drawn into the terroirs that give Malagasy vanilla its international reputation.
