Nosy Sakatia is home to a wonderful ecosystem that is preserved, protected, and classified. Picture perfect beaches, rare birds and an endemic flora will welcome you, and the local people will proudly give you a tour of their island. After a picnic lunch, there are plenty of activities for you to choose from: beach volley, snorkeling, scuba diving or kayak riding for sports people; tanning, massage and nap for those looking to relax. The island has many white sand beaches and some can even be privatized for those looking for peace.

After breakfast, departure to Nosy Iranja. This island is characterized by a lush rainforest which is home to several animal species. The marine fauna is also fantastic. It is possible for visitors to see sea turtles coming to the wild beaches of the island to lay their eggs during this Nosy Iranja Tour. This magnificent show takes place at dusk, and if you are lucky, you will be able to witness the birth of some baby turtles. Nosy Iranja will offer you various land and marine activities thanks to its geographical location. Relaxation is another main attraction on the island.

Departure at 08:30. A 20-minute speed boat trip will take you to Nosy Komba. On land, a magnificent discovery of the island for a maximum of 1:30 will be organized for you. Enjoy the visit of the craft village with its embroidery market and wooden crafts and be wowed by the mini park where you will appreciate the endemic species of the island such as the famous local Macaco lemurs, BOA constrictor snakes, chameleons and various land tortoises.

Then, from Nosy Komba, you will continue to Nosy Tanikely which is 15 minutes away. This marine reserve, with its white beach, is bordered by a crystal-clear sea and surrounded by a coral reef. At the top of this island, a lighthouse from 1906 offers an exceptional view of Nosy-Be, NOSY-KOMBA and Madagascar. You can dive into a marine park where you can observe various colorful marine animals such as sea turtles, starfish, or poi his clown. An ideal place for lovers of swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and chilling on the beach.

Finally, at noon, a typical and hearty lunch will be served on the beach.

After breakfast, departure for a guided tour of the “Fragrant Garden” ylang-ylang plantation. This tour reveals the secrets of the crop cycle from the stages of transformation to distillation and even packaging for export perfume plants (ylang, patchouli, kaffir lime, pepper, cloves, etc.). After this discovery of the emblematic flora of the Big Island, enjoy a picnic lunch in the plantation.

Transfer from the Hotel to the Port of Hell-Ville at 5:00 a.m. The crossing to the port of Ankify will take 2h00. Then, you will continue to Ambanja (1 hour 00 drive)

Stop at MAVA: an opportunity to discover “MAVA”, a large cocoa plantation of over 630 hectares in Madagascar. Despite its excellent quality, this cocoa will be sold for just a few euros to become one of the most popular chocolates on the planet. On this old colonial plantation, you will discover the secrets of preparing the greatest cocoas.

Departure for Sambava after breakfast, at around 7:30 am (5h00 drive)

You will have a short break at Vohemar for lunch, then, drive to discover the green lake or “sacred lake of Andranotsara” which is located 7 km south of the town of Vohémar. Beyond the beauty of the place, the history of the lake is legendary. Your guide will explain the secret of its color to you.

Then we continue the road to the Domaine d’Ambohimanitra (45 min from Sambava)

After breakfast at around 9:00 am, you will visit the Ambohimanitra Estate (60ha): discover the vanilla plantation and the different varieties of vanilla plants, as well as the nurseries of local varieties. The tour is guided and covers in detail the planting and the mutilation process of the vanilla flower as well as all the phases from the flower to the vanilla pod.

To complete your immersion in vanilla, a vanilla- scented meal will be served to you on a terrace that will offer a panoramic view. In the afternoon, you will head to Antalaha to visit a vanilla processing store: discover the different stages of vanilla, from preparation to export. You will be given the opportunity to know the secrets of all the stages of vanilla processing: harvesting, scalding, sorting, measuring, and you will learn about the different qualities of vanilla.

At the end of the afternoon, return to the Domaine (35 minutes from Antalaha).

After breakfast, at around 9:00 am, return to Sambava. You will stop at the “Edmond Albius Museum,” to immerse yourself in the fascinating history of vanilla, from its ancient roots to its global expansion, plunging your senses into a unique tactile and olfactory journey. Let yourself be drawn into the terroirs that give that Malagasy vanilla its international reputation.
